With every order from customers who have found www.drafttack.com through SAD Horse Rescue, they will donate $2 towards the purchase of a new draft halter for a horse here in need.

Due to the fact that most of our rescue horses were rescued from a meat auction, they come to us with one of the following……
- No halter
-An old, faded, frayed or ripped halter
- A halter with a broken latch
-A tight fitting halter that must be removed immediately due to sores, ulcers and rubmarks
- A halter that is held together with duct tape or electrical tape
-A halter that is held together or extended with a baler twine or a baler twine/duct/electrical tape combination.

In Memory of Lorinda
Our dear friend, Lorinda (Aka “Puff”) passed away after her brave battle with cancer.
May she be remembered as the loving, caring woman that she is and for her beliefs in standing up for those that do not have a voice, the animals - regardless of species, if Lorinda could help, she would. Even when she could not help, she would find a way to.
Her signature quote was :

The above picture was taken here at SAD and we want to share it with all of you. Lorinda had a special gift here on this earth, may she continue to help the animals from up above and may she never, ever be forgotten.
We will miss you, dear friend.

In Memory of Brigadier
Brigadier was a Toronto police horse that had his life taken while on duty.

We would like to thank Big Bale Buddy Inc., for donating their product to SAD. After using them, chore time was cut in half, giving us much more time for handling, grooming and giving attention to the horses. Something very important to us, since we are a rescue run without volunteers or foster homes.
